2026 Columbia County Solid Waste Recycling Permits
County Residents 65+: $50.00
County Residents: $75.00
Non-residents: $125.00
The County will not replace lost permits; there are no exceptions.
If you have an accident or trade in your vehicle, you must remove the existing sticker and bring it to the Solid Waste Administrative Office, and they will supply a new one.


SNAP Suspension and Columbia County Food Security Response
The Board of Supervisors is working with various Columbia County agencies and Greater Promise Neighborhood to assist our residents whose SNAP benefits may be cut as of November 1st. Here is a list of resources to help those in need. We will continue to update as information becomes available:

Laundry detergent, Dish soap, Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins), Household supplies (foil, garbage bags, all sizes of ziplock bags)
Meats in a can (tuna, chicken, ham), Peanut butter, Canned or jarred fruit, Coffee, Sugar, Cooking oil, Jars of spaghetti sauce, Assorted salad dressings, Canned beets, Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup, Relish, Any organic foods.
